Always call before dropping off and again before picking up your machines. Our services are exclusively available through same-day scheduled appointments on the day. This means that customers should call in advance before they come over. We appreciate your understanding and this is so there will be no confusion if you show up at our workshop expecting us to be there and find out we are not there because we had to go out to pick up parts. By keeping the lines of communication open we will avoid wasting both your and our time. Thank you for your cooperation.

When picking up your espresso machine we must receive the money on our side before you leave with your machine so to avoid waiting around for the email payments to happen it's better if you make the payment an hour or two before you come over to pick it up or you may pay with cash if you like.

Important notice for Winter Months

Please keep your espresso machine from freezing temperatures while in transportation as this may cause more damage to the lines and heater tank.

Attention

We will need all the accessories such as; the water tank, trays, and the porta-filter handle (if yours has one) to properly test the machine.​ Please clean/wash out any old coffee grinds and water so your machine will not have any mold in it before you bring it over. Thank You. (We reserve the right to refuse service for moldy machines.)

Boxes are not necessary we prefer bags if anything, a simple clear plastic bag will easily fit most machines (This is also how we return your machine afterward) along with any material-type shopping bags you may have brought it in and the original box. Random boxes may get lost and we cannot guarantee that you will get the same unmarked random box back.

We are now accepting machines that are being shipped to us from anywhere in Canada! Customers will be responsible for the shipping cost both ways and packaging, before we return the machine all fees must be paid in full including the return shipping. Canada Post can provide you with a quote for shipping your machine, give them a call to find out more, and don't forget to ask them about the small additional cost for (shipping insurance). Please note: We are not accepting credit cards or checks at the moment sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We do provide a paper copy of the receipt with the machine once it's returned and a digital (emailed) receipt if requested for businesses.

CHECKING FEE

The minimum amount for the checking fee is $100 for most common machines, dual boilers & heat exchanger tanks are $150, and smaller machines are $75 paid when dropped off by e-transfer to appliancehealer@gmail.com or as cash. Please note that the checking fee amount will go towards the overall quote if you decide to have your machine fixed, however, if you decide not to have it fixed we keep the checking fee for our time and you are welcome to pick up your machine or to give us permission to dispose or recycle it by Text Message (preferred) or by email.

FLAVOR / TASTE

PLEASE NOTE

We do not provide or guarantee that the "flavor" or "Taste" of your drinks. If you are bringing in your machine due to bad taste we can't help you with this problem. Please try the basics like doing a full descale of your machine and changing the water filter along with washing the water tank and opening up the port-afilter handle and cleaning it inside and out. Some of the porta-filter handles in the Breville's have an inner lining that also needs to come out for cleaning underneath it.

DELIVERY INFORMATION

Delivery services such as Uber and small package couriers will bring your machines to our workshop.

Uber Delivery or Ship from anywhere in Canada to us! We do accept this now but you will have to cover the cost of packing and shipping, and we are not responsible if it arrives damaged.

Offices & Work from Home Companies; Need help getting your espresso machine delivered to our workshop? Have you thought about using Uber delivery or a courier service? 

It's easy and helps to free up your valuable time simply let us know you are going to do this first and that we are available to receive your machine before you order the delivery service then when they arrive you place the machine in the vehicle for delivery and when the driver arrives at our location you call us again letting us know that they have arrived and we meet them at the front of the building, take your espresso machine from the vehicle and place it in the lineup for checking and repair once the quote has been approved.​ Payments are made to us thru email transfer for the checking fee or cash in an envelope with the machine upon delivery.

If your machine has more than one problem and we only found the one problem and changed some parts and need to install some new parts for the 2nd problem then we will have to charge you for the parts and an additional small fee for installing the additional part(s). We can't always tell if the 2nd problem happened after you started using it once you got it back home or not and so we think it's only fair this way and this has to happen within the 30 day period of warranty coverage also. We are only a small company and can't afford to give a full years coverage, nor do we think it necessary because most of our projects last well over 1 year and do not come back. This 30 day policy is mainly to provide peace of mind if you get home and within the first week or two notice something is not right then we will take a second look and do our best to make sure you are satisfied with our work and your espresso machine.

MUST READ
WARRANTY POLICY

We typically provide a 30 day warranty on our work, providing it's the same problem that you came in with. If it's something related to the work we did we will obviously correct it free of charge within this 30 day time frame. If you don't use your machine and it passes the 30 days you will have voided the warranty. This is why it's important to test your machine carefully when you take it back home. As for the new parts we install most of the parts do not come with warranty from the manufacture and this is beyond our control so we are very careful to check the new parts after installation and make sure it works before you take it home. On some parts such as water pumps there is a 3 month warranty from the manufacture.

Warranty only covers functionality of the machine and some (not all) of the new parts installed.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

Before you go on Vacation and leave your espresso machine here,

- Our normal turn around time takes about two to three weeks, if your vacation is only for one week you may still have to wait when you get back before you hear from us about the diagnosis of your machine and the overall quote to have it repaired.
- If we finish fixing your espresso machine and you have not yet returned, we will be now charging an additional $20 per week that the machine is left here as a "fair storage fee". We need to do something to motivate people to pick up their machine when they fail to do so and we hope this will be looked at as encouraging as opposed to a "money grab". In the past many times we can't reach the owner and no once picks up the machine and a complete month goes by until they come to pick it up.

IMPORTANT NOTE

If we reach out to you by phone call, text message, email or however we can and don't hear back form you for more than one month you will be considered as a "no show" or "non responsive customer" and we will have the rights to dispose and or recycle your machine without any further notice. This new policy has to happen because when people don't want to have their machines fixed they just don't answer our calls and it's unfair to us to hold the machine when they don't call or answer us back. Our workshop space is limited and we can't keep machines taking up space when no one will come and pick them up. We do our best to make sure everyone knows this and would like for all to cooperate when it comes to keeping in touch regarding what to do with their machines one way or the other. Thank you to all the customers who do take this responsibility seriously and have kept in touch regardless of the outcome of your project.
